Ellie is a very unique and talented mare that we all love here at the ranch! She is a beautiful sorrel paint with unique coloring and markings that make her beautiful! She has one blue eye which makes her stand out even more in a crowd. This mare doesn’t just have the flashy looks though, she has an extensive resume that is sure to impress. Ellie rides nice and slow, with a nice jog, pitter patter trot, and a smooth rocking horse lope. She has easy transitions and listens very well to her rider, as she aims to please. With all this nice slow work you would be surprised to know the rest of her resume, as she was also a mounted shooting horse! Mounted Shooting is a timed event that requires shooting a gun off of the horse while they are galloping around pre-placed balloons. Gun fire, exploding balloons, and a roaring crowd is quite a lot for a horse to take in, but you would never know she could catch a faster gear from her laid back and easy-going riding style. She moves very well and is a fun horse to ride! She is an absolute must have in the arena, as she has seen all kinds of events and training. She has even worked and helped work cattle in an arena. We exposed her to dogs, turkeys, the big ball, walk-trot-lope with the flag, tarp, trails, the water, drone, atv, and tricks! Ellie has a great attitude and absolutely loves attention. She loves baths, treats, and all the grooming and love that she can get! We love Ellie and are sure that you will as well!
